Virginia State Senator Ken Cuccinelli reports that the Commonwealth's "Tax Me More Fund" doesn't seem to be doing very well. So far, it's only raised $9,048. Here is the year-by-year break down:
FY 2003 - $6,602
FY 2004 - $1,113
FY 2005 - $1,314
FY 2006 - $19 (to date)
So, if you're a Virginian who is feeling under-taxed, don't forget about the "Tax Me More Fund." If you've visited Virginia and felt that you weren't taxed enough during your trip, feel free to send in a check. If you live in a state that doesn't have such a fund, but you want to pay more in taxes, Virginia will gladly take your check.
